Who we are
Education first, always
TopBitSchool was founded in 2017 in Bengaluru by a small group of public‑school teachers, household‑finance coaches and curriculum designers who shared one frustration: most money education in India was either too dry to read or too eager to sell.
We set out to build a school that treats personal finance the way good schools treat mathematics or languages — patiently, in clear sequence, and without shortcuts. Every program we publish is reviewed by working educators before it reaches a learner.
Today, our learners come from every state in India and from the wider South Asian diaspora. They are nurses, parents, freelance designers, retirees, students, and small‑business owners — people who simply want a calmer, clearer relationship with their household money.

A brief history
Our journey so far
2017
TopBitSchool is founded in Bengaluru by three teachers and a household‑finance coach. The first course, "Foundations of Personal Finance," opens with thirty learners.
2019
The school publishes its first open library of free reading material in English and Hindi, donated to local community centres and adult‑education programmes.
2021
The Budgeting & Cash Flow program launches, designed in partnership with two non‑profit consumer‑education trusts.
2023
Enrolment passes 8,000 learners across every state of India. TopBitSchool joins the Open Education Coalition as a contributing member.
2026
The Family Finance Track and the Career & Income track are released, completing the five‑subject core curriculum.

A former secondary‑school mathematics teacher with 18 years of classroom experience. Anjali leads curriculum design and oversees the school's editorial standards.
Vikram Mehta
Director of Curriculum
A curriculum designer who has worked on adult‑education programmes in three countries. Vikram leads the team that writes and reviews every TopBitSchool course.
Priya Krishnan
Director of Learner Support
A certified financial counsellor and educator. Priya leads the team that supports learners through their courses and answers questions every weekday.
